Terms and Conditions of UK Official Certificates suppliers of Official
UK Government Birth, Death, Marriage and Adoption Certificates.

 

Free postage is included on all orders to the UK except when requesting recorded, or overseas delivery.

 

 

We will endevour to despatch Birth, Marriage and Death certificates ordered as standard for England/Wales and Scotland within 9-15 working days upon reciept of payment.

 

Orders are sent out via standard Royal Mail 1st class postage. Please note that we can not be held responsible for lost or damaged certificates sent out via 1st class. We highly recommend Recorded Delivery.

 

Birth, Marriage and Death certificates for England/Wales and Scotland are usually despatched within 3 working days however Northern Ireland Certificates via express can take upto 5 working days.

 

Any loss or delays due to local or national postal strikes are outside our control.

 

UK Official Certificates will only process where we believe the purpose of the certificate is legitimate. In order for us to carry out searches we require all mandatory fields to be completed. Any inacurate information will result in a no trace. We cannot be held accountable for any inacurate information made on the order form by you either online or over the phone. It is your responsibility to check the accuracy and vaildity of this information before you proceed with your order.

 

In instance of a no trace, any resulting information will be passed on to you. No refund will be issued if there are no exact results/findings.

 

If we are unable to provide you with the requested certificate because we had a no trace result we will retain a search fee as follows:

 

Standard £ 7.00

Express £25.00

 

The difference will be refunded from the original payment amount in the event where we have not been able to provide you with a Birth, Marriage, Death certificate registered in England and Wales.

 

For standared Births, Marriages, Deaths and adoption certificates registered in Scotland and Northern Ireland we will retain a search fee of £15.00 and refund the remainder balance.

 

If the results for a decree absolute come back as no trace you can request a re-check if this comes back as a no trace we will assume that no decree has been made absolute and we will advise you of this either via telephone or e-mail. Please note no refund will be given on a no trace

 

All orders feed directly into the production process. This means we are unable to cancel requests once payment has been accepted. The following directive relates to the exception to the right to cancel, leaving us unable to stop the system.

 

"13(1)(a) for the supply of services if the supplier has given proper information and the performance of the contract has begun with the consumer's agreement befor the end of the cancellation period".

 

We regret the inconvenience.

 

We are unable to accept amendments on orders if these have already be processed.

 

All payments are transacted via secure SSL encrypted server with paypal. No card details are held or viewable by us. The contact has deemed to have started when we recieve both customer order and payment confirmation for the requested certificate. The contract has deemed to have ended when the certificate/s have/has been posted. We cannot be held accountable for any certificates lost in the post to you. It is therefore important to have selected the recorded delivery for peace of mind.

 

The prices payable for services are set out on our website. We reserve the right to vary prices from time to time and post such changes on our website without notice.

 

Prices are subject to change without notice.

 

The certificates supplied are certified copies issued by the goverment. We are unable to amend or alter any information on the certificate/s this is how they were originally recorded and stored on tape.

 

 

We have security measures in place to ensure our data is safe. The information will only be used for searching the relevant certificate. The information provided will be kept confidential and not used for marketing purposes other than contacting you reguarding your order.

 

As data processors we comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.

 

 

A working day is from Monday to Friday before 3.30pm (except Bank holidays)
